The electronic router bit and Table saw height adjustment tool

  • Allows measurements from 1/32" to 2" in increments of 1/32"
  • A conversion table is printed on the back of the unit to provide quick and easy reference for subtracting fractions
  • The Magna Wire provides an electrical path on non metallic surfaces such as table saws with composite tops and router tables.
  • Held in place by a heavy duty magnetic base.

BladeGauge III is built on the same foundation as the original BladeGauge II.

You are now able to measure your router bit height with the same accuracy that was found in our basic BladeGauge III. The difference being; BladeGauge III has a wire plugged into it's base with a magnetic tip at the other end allowing instant hookup with a router bit. This system doesn't depend on a metal surface top, as on a table saw, to provide the electrical path necessary to light the LED. Like the BladeGauge III used with a table saw, you are now hands free to adjust your router bit. What a benefit this becomes when working with a hand held router or precision router table.

The next feature multiplies the capacity of each 1/8" increment by three. Three precision nickel plated clips are stationed on the top edge of BladeGauge III. By simply removing the clip and snapping it over the selected gap you are measuring, you are then able to reduce the 1/8" gap in increments of 1/32". Three clips come with the unit, 1/32", 1/16" and 3/32". Your gauge capacity is now 1/32" to 2".

A conversion table printed on the unit provides quick and easy reference for subtraction fractions.

BladeGauge III Featuring the “Zero Clip”

What are the blades you least look forward to changing? Your jointer is probably the fussiest woodworking tool in the shop. Consider the accuracy required when changing the knife blades. These blades must be exactly level to the out feed table. Some manufacturers recommend that the blade be proud of the out- feed table by .003-005. In either case BladeGauge III with its new zero clip is just the tool gauge to assure this accuracy. If the jointer manufacturer recommends that the blades be proud of the out- feed table, place a sheet of note book paper .003-005 under the BladeGauge III thus raising the measuring point by that distance.

Setting the depth of scale can be accomplished by sliding BladeGauge III over the knife blades to the in- feed table. Now measure the gap between the zero clip and the in- feed table. Adjust your mechanical gauge to the proper setting.

Zero Clip is retrofitable on Blade Gauge II. This is an important point when you consider the 10,000 plus units that are now in the field.
