The LED shows you the way to perfect 45°'s and 90°'s and much more. Take the guess work out of setting your table saw to the two most common angles - 45° and 90°. Changing from one angle to another is always somewhat of a headache. The stops on the table saw are not to be trusted, so making a change involves crouching down, looking for that precise instant when a sliver of light between the blade and the square (or triangle) disappears. AnglePerfect III with its unique system of electrical contacts and an LED makes it easy to set the saw to an accuracy of +/- .002 inches. Just crank the angle adjustment until contact with the blade causes the green LED to glow. Additionally, AnglePerfect III with its magnetic base also give you accurate measurements of saw blade and rip fence run out as well as squaring your miter gauge.
Simply by attaching AnglePerfect III to your miter gauge you are now able to determine an accuracy within a few 1000's of an inch the relationship to your miter gauge slot and the angle of your saw blade or fence to the miter slot. Reducing kick back is a major concern that you are now able to control. Also, squaring the meter gauge to the slip rod becomes easy with AnglePerfect III.
Other Tool Alignment Applications
The newest feature to compliment the Angle Perfect III is the “Zero Clip”
What are the blades you least look forward to changing? Your jointer is probably the fussiest woodworking tool in the shop. Consider the accuracy required when changing the knife blades. These blades must be exactly level to the out feed table. Some manufacturers recommend that the blade be proud of the out- feed table by .003-005. In either case AnglePerfect III with its new zero clip is just the tool gauge to assure this accuracy. If the jointer manufacturer recommends that the blades be proud of the out- feed table, place a sheet of note book paper .003-005 under the AnglePerfect III thus raising the measuring point by that distance.

Setting the depth of scale can be accomplished by sliding AnglePerfect III over the knife blades to the in- feed table. Now measure the gap between the zero clip and the in- feed table. Adjust your mechanical gauge to the proper setting.
